Your password serves as the sole key for unlocking your encrypted files. It is combined with an adequately long random salt and fortified through 100,000 iterations of PBKDF2, resulting in an encryption key that effectively resists brute-force attacks.
Furthermore, ZipOne uses Secure Remote Password (SRP) Protocol to authenticate users, this means your password is never stored on the ZipOne's servers. Even if ZipOne is hacked, your password remains secure as it exists solely in your mind.
