Getting Started with ZipOne
Welcome to ZipOne! This guide will help you get started with our free archive utility for Windows. ZipOne supports 30+ archive formats including ZIP, RAR, 7Z, TAR, GZIP, ISO, and more.
Prerequisites
- Windows 10 or later
- Administrator privileges for installation (optional, for system-wide installation)
- Internet connection for initial download
Installation Steps
- Download ZipOne: Visit the Microsoft Store or download directly from our website.
- Run the installer: Double-click the downloaded file and follow the installation wizard.
- Launch ZipOne: Once installed, you can launch ZipOne from the Start menu or desktop shortcut.
Basic Usage
Extracting Archives
- Right-click on an archive file (ZIP, RAR, 7Z, etc.)
- Select "Extract with ZipOne" from the context menu
- Choose your destination folder
- Click "Extract" to begin
Creating Archives
- Select files or folders you want to compress
- Right-click and choose "Add to archive"
- Select your preferred format (ZIP, 7Z, etc.)
- Configure compression settings if needed
- Click "Create" to generate the archive
Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues during setup or initial use:
- Installation fails: Ensure you have Windows 10 or later and sufficient disk space (100 MB minimum)
- Can't find ZipOne: Check the Start menu or search for "ZipOne" in Windows search
- Context menu not appearing: Check ZipOne settings to ensure context menu options are enabled
- Archive won't extract: Verify the archive isn't corrupted and that you have the password if it's encrypted
