Installation Guide

This guide provides detailed instructions for installing ZipOne on your Windows system. Follow these steps to ensure a successful installation.

System Requirements

  • Operating System: Windows 10 (version 1809 or later) or Windows 11
  • Architecture: x64 (64-bit) or ARM64
  • RAM: 2 GB minimum (4 GB recommended)
  • Storage: 100 MB free disk space
  • Permissions: Administrator rights for system-wide installation (optional)

Installation Methods

Method 1: Microsoft Store (Recommended)

  1. Open the Microsoft Store application
  2. Search for "ZipOne"
  3. Click "Get" or "Install"
  4. Wait for the installation to complete
  5. Launch ZipOne from the Start menu

Method 2: Direct Download

  1. Download the installer from our download page
  2. Run the installer executable (.exe or .msix)
  3. Follow the installation wizard prompts
  4. Choose installation location (default recommended)
  5. Complete the installation

Post-Installation Configuration

File Association

ZipOne will automatically associate with common archive formats. To manually configure:

  1. Open ZipOne settings
  2. Navigate to "File Associations"
  3. Select the formats you want ZipOne to handle
  4. Click "Apply" to save changes

Context Menu Options

Enable right-click context menu options for quick access:

  1. Open ZipOne settings
  2. Navigate to "Context Menu" section
  3. Enable "Context Menu" option
  4. Restart ZipOne if prompted

Verification

To verify your installation is working correctly:

  1. Launch ZipOne from the Start menu
  2. Try extracting a test archive file
  3. Check that file associations are working (right-click on an archive)

Troubleshooting

If you encounter installation issues, see our troubleshooting guide or check the following:

  • Ensure your Windows version meets the minimum requirements
  • Check that you have sufficient disk space
  • Disable antivirus temporarily during installation if needed
  • Run the installer as administrator
